BiographyMarjory was born in Greenock on the West Coast of Scotland.She studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.She spent five years with Scottish Opera as a full-time Chorus Member appearing in operas with Dame Janet Baker, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Sir Geraint Evans.Over the Years she has performed regularly as a soloist throughout the country in opera. Appearing in many solo roles including Carmen in "Carmen", Eglantine in "Euryanthe" Madalena in "Rigoletto" and Dorabella in "Cosi fan Tutte". She also performs in oratorio and on the concert platform. |
Recently she appeared as the third lady in a performance of "The Magic Flute" at the Lowry in Salford.Marjory is Head of Music and Performing Arts at Kaskenmoor Secondary School in Oldham and teaches Academic Studies at The Royal Northern College of Music Junior School in Manchester.Marjory, who now lives in Saddleworth, is the sister of the Scottish Artist, Charles Anderson and the mother of the lyric Baritone, Ian Anderson Gray.Thank you for visiting Marjory's web site.
