Marjory was born in Scotland and studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and at the Royal Northern College of Music.

After spending the early part of her career as a member of the Scottish Opera Chorus she has subsequently appeared in many solo roles in opera and on the concert platform.
